ABOUT CHASE

Charity for the Arts, Sports & Education (CHASE) was established in 2021 to uplift under-resourced communities and other environments, supporting young people and adults who wish to learn and benefit from philanthropic programs offered in education, the arts and sports in a structured environment with teachers, coaches and mentors.

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES

CHASE is committed to supporting hands-on community initiatives such as The SWAG, a no-cost youth soccer program bringing world-class athletic and educational programming to some of Philadelphia’s most underserved neighborhoods. Some participants in programming supported by CHASE or recipients of grants made by the CHASE may seek to learn in an amateur or recreational setting, while others may seek to reach the world class or professional level. CHASE is a nonprofit corporation with tax exempt status as a 501(c)(3) public charity. EIN: 87-3153333.

ABOUT THE SWAG

The SWAG is a philanthropically funded, no cost soccer training program focused on opportunities for young athletes ages 4 through 8 from Philadelphia’s African-American and immigrant communities. Launched in 2018, The SWAG player pool is comprised of over 2000 young athletes, who are offered soccer coaching and training year-round. Over 95% of the SWAG players are of African descent or from immigrant families.

CHASE’S SUPPORT OF ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

CHASE supports scholarship programs for underprivileged students at numerous private schools, as well as collegiate programs. CHASE also supports educational improvement programs benefiting public school children through a wide array of charitable organizations. Certain scholarship programs and educational improvement programs supported by CHASE may also be associated with federal, state or municipal initiatives in education, the arts or athletics, such as the EITC and OSTC programs offered under Pennsylvania’s Department of Community & Economic Development.
